How to Submit Abstracts Online Registration Form
Call For Abstracts
We invite abstracts for the First International Meeting of Leisure and Recreation Studies in Japan with the theme “Fun and interesting Japanese activities”. This will be held on 20 & 21 August 2022 via Zoom.
Confirmation of Deadline
Submitted abstracts cannot be revised.
In case of conditional acceptance, please submit a revised abstract by the designated date.
Please be sure to register the principal presenter and co-presenters/co-researchers.

If you wish to have your abstract reviewed in Japanese, a separate English translation proofreading fee of ￥10,000 will be charged.

LEISURE：Leisure education, School trips, tourist facility management, leisure studies (leisure studies), history, philosophy, economics, etc.
RECREATION：Recreation education, outdoor activities, health and sports science, community care, etc.

Abstract Submission Information
1. Abstracts must be submitted online. We do not accept submissions other than online.
2. Presenters must be registered participants. Please note that the registration deadline for authors is July 1, 2022.
3.The submitter must confirm the abstract with all co-authors prior to submission. When submitting online, please include all authors of the paper and their affiliations. We recommend that the presenting authors be the submitting authors, as all communications regarding the abstract will be sent to the submitting authors.
4. Abstracts and presentations must be in English. In special cases, the secretariat may provide interpreters for research presentations.
The Peer Review Process
・We will guide you through the peer review process of your submitted abstract.
・Submitted abstracts will be reviewed and received for abstract format, recommended categories, etc.
※Submission deadlines for Japanese and English are different. Please refer to Check Deadlines.
・Within three weeks of receipt, the manuscript will be reviewed by a peer review committee on a double-blind basis.
・If an abstract is accepted as a result of peer review, the submitter will be notified by email within three weeks of registration or by July 1-9, 2022.
・Please follow the instructions in the notice to register for The First International Meeting of Leisure and Recreation Studies in Japan 2022. The deadline for registration is July 15, 2022.
Publication of Abstracts
・If selected, the application will be posted on the website.
・Awards will also be given for outstanding research among the abstracts published.

・Personal information such as the presenter's name and affiliation will be hidden from the reviewers, during peer review.
